Williams, Sr. She was the first of four children. She was a lifelong member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Bethune-Cookman College. She was very devoted to her Alma Mater and was a football season ticket holder. She worked at Daytona Beach Junior College in the library for many years. Upon retiring she worked full time at her beloved New Mt. Zion. After many years of dedicated service to New Mt. Zion, the church gave her a retirement party, but she continued to work diligently for many years afterwards. She was married to King David White and became the mother of Michael Leon and Michele Denise (deceased). Michele gave her three grandchildren, Greg, Nitara and Zachariah, the apples of her eye. She leaves behind, son, Michael (Linda); son-in-law, Gregory Ware; brother, Roosevelt (Dena) Williams, Jr.; sister, Elouise (Shepherd) Jefferson; devoted nephew, Maurice Harrell; very good friends Norma Garrett and Jean Harding; and a host of loving friends and loved ones too numerous to mention. Donations may be made in memory of Shirley Ann White to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 4 to 7 pm at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Park Cemetery.
