Eric Frank Noeldechen, 90, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6th in the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to services. Eric was born on September 14, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York and relocated to Volusia County in 1985 from Tuxedo, NY. He was a home improvement salesman, an artist, a gun enthusiast, and an avid hunter. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor, a member of the VFW, the Submarine Squadron Twenty, the USS Enterprise Assoc., the American Legion, and the Pearl Harbor Club. Most of all he will be remembered as a loving family man. He is survived by his son, Eric Noeldechen, Farmingville, NY; daughter, Cynthia (Peter) Weishaar, Winter Springs, FL; son, Jon (Dawn) Noeldechen, Eagle Bridge, NY; a brother, Dick (Nancy) Noel, San Diego, CA; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Martha Noeldechen, his son Arthur Noeldechen, and a sister-in-law, Debra Noeldechen.
