Beatrice Virginia Stevens, 90, resident of Bunnell, Florida peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2013 at home with her husband Edwin J. Stevens of 66 years and family by her side. She was born on June 2, 1922 in Milton, Massachusetts. She was a homemaker, a pharmacists' assistant, and raised four children in Weymouth, Ma retiring to Plymouth, Massachusetts. She was a kind; gentle spirit, loved meeting new people and always found the best in everyone. Bea worked in Plymouth for many years as a Home Health Aide. It was said by her friends, "she was a wonderful friend and a good listener". Her friends knew her as Bea but to her siblings, simply, Buddy. In her spare time, she loved gardening, reading, crocheting and an early morning game of solitaire. She was a very loving, supportive wife, mom and sister. She is survived by husband, Edwin J. Stevens of Bunnell; daughters, Jan Stevens of Flagler Beach, FL., Jude Sibley (Arthur) of Duxbury, Ma. Nancy Bullock (Charles) of Bunnell, FL.; and son Jim Stevens of Davenport, Ca.; along with 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Stratton of Quincy, Ma, Francis Nelligan of Nokomis, FL., Jean Milne (Brad) of Hanover, Ma., brother Robert McKenney (Barbara) of So. Dennis, Ma. A private service was held. Donations may be made in her Memory to Halifax Health, Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Florida. For online condolences go "online obituaries".
