Elizabeth L. "Betsy" Stewart, 78, of New Smyrna Beach, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Mrs. Stewart, a homemaker, was born in Ballston Spa, NY and moved to the area in 1961 from her birthplace. She was instrumental in forming the Cor Meth Day Care in New Smyrna Beach and the Grad Night Program at New Smyrna Beach High School. She served on the Southeast Volusia Athletic Association Board of Directors for ten years, was a past president of Coronado Elementary School PTA, an active participant with the Cub Scouts and a member of the Junior Women's League, all in New Smyrna Beach. She is survived by five sons, Donald, III (Cheryl) and Robert (Mary Anne), of New Smyrna Beach; Jimmy (Sue) of Edgewater; George (Virginia) of Keystone Heights and Charlie (Sherrie) of Orlando; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald K. Stewart, Jr. in 2008. Memorial service will be 4 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach with Rev. Kathy Boyles of DeLeon Springs United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
