"Rip" 84, succumbed peacefully on March 14, 2013. A homegoing service in his honor will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013, 11:00 AM, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, 700 S. Dr. MLK, Jr. Blvd, Daytona Beach, with Pastor Dr. Rev. C.W. Clanton Dawson officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, prior to the service at the church. Thomas graduated from Campbell High School in Daytona Beach, FL. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Deacon at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choirs. Thomas was a member of the 89er's Social Club of Daytona and loved to repair bicycles for the children in his neighborhood. Mr. Willis was pre-deceased by his parents, William and Patience Elizabeth Willis; and sister, Margaret Willis-Pyke; Thomas will be remember by his wife of 57 years, Sue, affectionately known as "Sweet"; daughters, Margaret "Gwen" Willis and Kimberly Willis-Barnes (Phil); grandchildren, Algermany and Kimora Barnes; son, Johnathan McCaskill;niece, Veronica Dorrall; nephews, Morris Small Jr. and Pierre Louis (caregiver); family and friends, Dana Hamilton, Tony Servance; God-child, Chris Miley;
God-children, Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Gallman; Jo-Ann Teel; and many more nieces, nephews and friends; caregiver Chanetra "Ney-Ney" Brown, Paulette Anderson, Herman Gallman, and Larry Sanders; and special classmate, Lillie Fleming. Arrangements are under the direction of Lohman Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared with the family at
