James "Jimmy" Joseph Uber, 54, of Holly Hill, unexpectedly passed away March 4, 2013. Jimmy was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He vacationed in the Daytona Beach area with friends and fell in love with the beaches and the weather. Jimmy moved here permanently in 1979. Jimmy worked in the cleaning and janitorial business, which he truly enjoyed. He will be remembered for his love of people. When you made friends with Jimmy, it was a true friendship. His clients were also his friends, and he thought of them as family. Jimmy loved to cook and entertain, having parties for his friends and family. He had great talent as a decorator. His home was always well designed and full of his beautiful plants. Jimmy is survived by his mother Anna Uber of Ohio; his sisters Kathy Greene and Anna Marie Blough, also of Ohio. He will be sadly missed by his friend Jerry McCoy, who was like a brother to him. He is also survived by his niece Tanya Neff (fiancé Lou); and nephew Jason Neff (wife Shannon); and by his great nephews Ethan and Patrick; and great niece Madison. He is also missed by his beloved kitties Pokey and Mr. Fang. The family will hold a private service. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
