-Raymond J. Jean Claude, age 90 of Daytona Beach passed away on April 1, 2013. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church on Friday April 5, 2012 at 8:30 A.M. He will be laid to rest following the service at Florida National Cemetery with Military honors. Raymond was born on February 11, 1923 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Mary Fieola & August Jean Claude. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1943. He later attended RCA Institute in New York, New York. He served proudly in the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II where he received the Bronze Star. Raymond's careers included working for National Broadcasting Company, in New York, New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, Southern Bell Telephone Company, and Century 21 Real Estate. He retired to Hollywood Florida in 1983, and relocated to Daytona Beach in 1991. Raymond was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Pelican Bay Country Club, and the Telephone Pioneers. He enjoyed photography, computers, fishing, family gatherings, and his faith. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hemmig Jean Claude; children, Jacqueline Jean Claude, Denise Jean Claude (William Chin), Cheryl Jean Claude (Joel Cleveland); grandchildren, Sandra Colon, Jennifer Ortiz, Samantha and Daniel Chin, Lucy Cleveland. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife Anne Rose Renn Jean Claude who passed in 1997.
