Charlesetta Haile Herring, 61, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, May 1, 2013, at the Coastal Health and Rehabilitation Center. Charlesetta was born on December 11, 1951, a daughter of the late Champion and Burndine Haile, and Mattie Angeline Gainey. She attended Volusia County Public Schools as well as the Daytona Beach Community College. She married the late Elijah Herring in 2000. Charlesetta joined the old School Street Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor James A. Pompey and she accepted the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at an early age. Charlesetta was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to her family and others. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Elijah Herring, in 2008; her devoted son, Samuel N. Brooks, in 2011; parents, Champion Haile (2001) and Burndine Haile (1995). She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; beloved son, James Henry Brooks III (Georgia); beloved grandson, Nathaniel Lee Brooks (Daytona Beach); five (5) loving sisters, Carolyn (Charles) Wall, Brenda Robinson, Burnadette White, all of Daytona Beach, Rose A. Haile (Leesburg), and Valmarie (Sedrick) Turner (Orlando); two (2) loving brothers, Burnard (Connie) Haile (Daytona Beach) and Joenathan (Yolanda) Haile (Tampa); three (3) uncles, Ulysses (Annie) Haile, Moses (Carol) Haile, and Joseph (Nina) Haile; one (1) aunt, Sophie Graham; niece/best friend, Levelda Clifton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held Friday, May 10, 2013, at 1:00 pm at the Community Church of God in Christ, 400 Henry Butts Drive, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the Herbert Thompson Funeral Home today (Thursday, May 9, 2013), from 6 to 8.
