Charles Koenig, 91 passed away peacefully with his family at his side on May 7, 2013. He was born in New York City on Oct. 4, 1921. Mr. Koenig, a World War II Veteran, in the Air Force moved here in 1972 from E. Meadow, N.Y. He was a member of the Elks Lodge # 1041 in Daytona. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Daytona Beach Golf Club where he got his first hole in one. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Valley Stream N.Y. Survivors include his beloved wife Anne of 31 years, two daughter's: Janet Bonini of W. Babylon, N.Y. and Linda Ostrosky of Port Orange. One step-son: Gregory Pigott of Deerfield, Ill, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Adele Koenig. A celebration of life will be at 11AM Friday May 17, in the Chapel of Halifax Health Hospice Volusia /Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL. Donations can be made in his name to Hospice Volusia/Flagler.
