Thomas Aquinas Evans, 80, of New Smyrna Beach, died Monday, June 24, 2013 with his wife by his side. Tom was born June 17, 1933 in Orange, New Jersey to the late Edna and James Evans. He served his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Marine Corps and received his Bachelor's degree in marketing from Seton Hall University. Tom married the love of his life Arlene Richards on May 23 1959. They settled in Bridgewater, NJ to raise their two sons. They moved to this area in 2001. Tom was a member of the Sugar Mill Country Club, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and past president of the Sugar Mill Golf Club. Besides his love of golf, Tom also enjoyed reading and was a devoted husband and father. He will be remembered for his love for his family, country and God. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Arlene; two sons, Tom and his wife, Jeraline of New Jersey and James of South Carolina; four adored grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Anthony and Mackenzie; and his sister, Joan P. McManus. A memorial mass will be held 10AM, Friday, June 28, 2013 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler or to the cancer . To share a memory with the family visit
