Raymond L. Hutton, Jr., passed away on June 29, 2013 at the age of 88. He was born Nov. 10, 1924 in Daytona Beach. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Cecile; daughters Cindy and Sharon (David); grandson J.J.; and sister Jean. Ray was a founding member of the Volusia County Beach Patrol and served as its chief for many years. He also taught First Aid and swimming for the American Red Cross; and was a frequent blood donor. Ray served two years in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Cremation has occurred. Interment will be at the Pinewood Cemetery, Main St., Daytona Beach on Tue., July 16 at 8:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Red Cross would be appreciated.
