Austin Michael Snyder, 14, of DeLeon Springs, FL passed into life eternal on Friday, August 2, 2013 in Ouray County, CO while visiting family in Montrose, from injuries sustained in a four-wheeler accident. Austin attended St. Barnabas Episcopal School and lived life to the fullest. He particularly loved the outdoors, sports, and above all, spending time with family and friends.Austin is survived by his paternal grandparents who adopted him in 2008, Greg and Carolyn Snyder, his brother, Jack and his sister, Emily, his mother Theresa Kitchens, his paternal grandparents in Montana, Tammy Duncan and Phil Mankin. He leaves many extended family members including grandmother, Jo Kitchens, FL, great grandparents Ken and Jan Snyder, CO, Otto and Mary Weiner, FL, Glenda Hachenberger, SC, Don Hachenberger, FL, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Austin was preceded in death by his father, Justin Derek Snyder. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Canyon View Baptist Church, Montrose, CO and interment followed at Dallas Park Cemetery in Ridgway, CO with his father, Justin. A Celebration of Austin's life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in the Harwood Center at 5:30 PM with a reception to follow. The family encourages attendees to wear purple.
