Catherine L. "Cathy" Imbert, 59, of Edgewater, a music teacher in the Volusia County area, died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, Port Orange. Cathy was born in Trenton, NJ and moved to the area in 1962 from Franklin Lakes, NJ. She was dedicated to all aspects of music especially piano, organ and voice, enjoyed composing music and writing children's music books and traveling. She is survived by one son, William J. (Alecia) Imbert of Bensalem, PA and one grandson, Andrew Imbert also of Bensalem. She was preceded in death by her mother, Muriel R. Trojahn in 1989 and her father, Carl W. Trojahn in 1996. Funeral service will be 7 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach. Rev. Stanley Wickett, Pastor, All Saints Lutheran Church, Port Orange, will officiate. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach. Memorial donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, 901 E Street, N.W., Suite 405, Washington, DC 20004.
