Funeral service for David Louis Bartley, Sr. 83, who went to be with the Lord, Oct. 25, 2013, will be held Wednesday at 11:30 am at the Flomich Baptist Church 1305 Flomich Ave., Holly Hill with Pastor Jerry Webb officiating. Interment will follow with military honors. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of the service. A native of Shawnee Town, IL, Mr. Bartley moved to this area in 1979 from Granite City, IL. He was a Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War and a retired television technician. David was a member of the Flomich Baptist Church and enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing organ & piano, traveling and watching television. In lieu of other remembrances the family suggests donations be made to either Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Tr., Port Orange, FL 32129 or Flomich Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Shirley; daughter, Catherine Sue Wideman, Ormond Beach; two sons, David Louis Bartley, Jr., Daytona Beach and Kevin Eugene Bartley, Ocala, FL; four step daughters, Deborah Enos, Berlin, PA, Donna Brinkerhoff, Ormond Beach, Denise Dunkle, Rapid City, SD and Denae McDonald, Ormond Beach; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
