Mr. Kendrick George Kurth, 65, of DeBary passed away Thursday, October 27th, 2013 in Orlando. Mr. Kurth was born in Gary, Indiana on March 19, 1948, the son of Kenneth and Lois Mae Kurth. He moved to Florida in 1999 and worked as a Superintendent at Habitat for Humanity in Deland, was a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Orange City and enjoyed bowling and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kurth of DeBary; sons: Kenneth and Benjamin Kurth and Kevin Johnston; sisters: Sharon (Richard) Landis and Kathy (Tom) Calhoun; two grandchildren: Kendall and Logan Johnston; and his brother in law, Brian (Angela) Benjamin . A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, November 2nd at 12:30 PM at the Emmaus Lutheran Church at 2500 S. Volusia Ave. Orange City, FL with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Lymphoma Society at 1311 Mamaroneck Ave Suite 310 White Plains NY 10605. Altman-Long Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
