Jack D. Honaker of Deland, FL passed away at home on Mon., Nov. 11, 2013. Born Dec. 22, 1927 in Saxon, WV. He was the son of the late Albert and Bertie Manning Honaker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Nellie of 50 yrs., 11 brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter Ashra Stover. Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters Vivian Stover (Randy), Debbie Garrett (Pat), and Cheryl McMillion; six grandchildren Ben Conley, Sarah Paschal, Carly and Cody Garrett, Lindsay Bartram, and Jaci Morgan; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; 81 nieces and nephews; and a host of friends too many to count whom he cherished very much. Special friends included Rhonda, Tom, Clyde, Randy, Jamie, Ted and Todd that went the last mile with him. Jack loved his family beyond measure, was known by many and loved by all. He was a proud veteran, who served in the Navy in World War II. Memorial Service will be Sat. afternoon, Nov. 16, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Methodist Church, Deland, FL. Celebration of his Life will be held at his home following the memorial service. Interment will be in the spring at Florida Nat'l Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
