John P. Nardandrea- A Memorial Mass for John P. Nardandrea, Sr., 87, of Ormond Beach, who passed
away November 25, 2013, will be celebrated Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach with Father Stephen Ogonwa as celebrant. A native of Patchogue, Long Island, NY, Mr. Nardandrea moved to this area in 1969 from Pennsauken, NJ. He was an Army veteran of World War II in the Power Squandron and after the war worked as an aeronautical engineer for Boeing. Upon moving to Florida, he founded John's Custom Tailoring in 1970. John was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and served as a minister to the sick to nursing homes.He was also part of a prison ministry, 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, enjoyed long walks, boating and in his younger years, and dancing. John was a devoted family man, who truly cherished time spent with his family. In lieu of other remembrances the family suggests donations be made to the Grace Center, Lagoon Ave. Naples, FL which is an orphanage in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy; two daughters, Donna Sciarretts (Anthony), NJ and Sharon Clark (Gregory), Ormond Beach; two sons, John (Swannee), Ocala, FL and Michael (Marianne), Ormond Beach; a sister, Carmella Vigolti (Bill), Bayshore, NY; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
