A funeral service celebrating the life of Francis "Fran" Leo Crotto, 71, of Palm Coast, will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014, 1:00PM at Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway. Fran passed away on January 6, 2014 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. As a young man he served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Glacier in Antarctica from 1961-65. After working for IBM for 30 years in many different capacities, he retired in 1996. After his retirement, he and his wife, Jean moved to Palm Coast from Marietta, GA. In addition to golfing, reading, and rooting for the Red Sox, Fran enjoyed vacationing in Maine every summer since his retirement. Most of all, Fran enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and family. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Jean Grivois Crotto; sons, Jeffrey J. Crotto of St. Augustine, Jason L. Crotto of Key West, FL; siblings, Sharon and her husband Keith Harvey, Leo E. Crotto Jr., Dana and his wife Joan Sharp, Gloria Padham; his very special Aunt Velma Allen. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in his memory to the Stuart F.
