A memorial service with a Masonic Service and Military Honors for Edwin Arthur Ceder-berg, 98, of Palm Coast, will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2014, 11:30AM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home. Edwin passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Bridgeview Center in Ormond Beach. He was born on August 11, 1915 to the late Hugo and Hanna Cederberg (Bohm). As a young man he served as a staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. Edwin was a graduate of Pace College in New York. He worked as an accountant and after retirement and living in Waldwick NJ for 50 years he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast area in 2002. His memberships included the American Legion Post #400, A Master Mason for the Masonic Fortitude Lodge in Ramsey, NJ., Life Time member of the VFW in Waldwick, NJ. Edwin was a gifted in the ability of baseball in which he played for the NY Yankees farm team before joining the service and he played soccer for the United States Team when he was in the service. He and his wife were fantastic dancers often clearing the floor with their graceful moves. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Alma J. Cederberg in 2009; siblings, John Olaf Cederberg and Barbara Breda; great-grandson, Joey Schmidt. Survivors include his children, Linda and her husband Ronald Uryniak of Stolkholm, NJ., Edward and his wife Barbara Cederberg of Palm Coast, Virginia and her husband David Nelson of Palm Coast; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and cherished friends.
