Fred Jones, Sr. passed away April 14, 2014. His life will be celebrated 1pm Saturday at the First Saint James Missionary Baptist Church of Sandhill-Osteen, 530 St. Mary's Street, Osteen, Pastor Larry D. Chavers and Pastor Richard Jones, officiating. Visitation will be today (Friday) from 4pm to 7pm at Cusack Mortuary and from 11am to service time at the church on Saturday. Burial and military honors will follow the services at Osteen Memorial Gardens. He was born on November 1, 1943 in Osteen, Florida to the late Mr. Harry & Mrs. Leila Mae Jones. Fred entered the U.S. Army in 1963 and later worked for the Chrysler corporation. In addition to his parents, he joins on the other side his brothers and sisters: John T. (Clara) Boone, Willie James (Mattie) Boone, Edward Jones, Elijah Jones and Moulbrough Jones; brother-in-law: Allen Hampton father-in-law: Jewel Maddox; mother-in-law: Elizabeth Green. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife: Willie Mae; children: Fred Jones, Jr. and Keith R. (Chloe) Jones of Texas; Calvin E. Jones of Atlanta, GA; Belafonda Lopez Jones of FL, Ms. Leila Mae Jones and Elizabeth Carrie Jones of Osteen, FL; sisters: Harrietta (Clarence) Stephens of Dania, FL; Carrie L. Hampton of Osteen, FL; brother: Henry (Vanessa) Jones, of Worchester, MA; sisters-in-law: Pearl Jones, Miami, FL; Sarah Jones, Atlanta, GA and Anna Jones, Orange City, FL; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
