Ali F. Jaffer, 83, of Flagler Beach, died, Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his residence with his family at his side. Mr. Jaffer was born in Pojan, Albania a son of Frank and Shefiko Ismael Jaffer. He immigrated to the United States in 1935, and resided in Waterbury, CT. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, then transferred to the U.S. Army, where he retired in 1985 as an Administration and Supply Technician. Mr. Jaffer was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, poker and playing pool. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Dorothy "Ann" Iles, whom he married May 15, 1965; two sons, Mark (Laurie) Jaffer of Southington, CT., and Todd (Maura) Jaffer of Palm Coast; one sister, Fatima; two brothers, Enver and Nepton; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Mark Jr., Danielle, Chris, Riley and Ronan; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday, July 18th from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach. Funeral services will be private. Interment will take place at Jacksonville National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
