Willard Richard Clevenger
Willard Richard Clevenger, 82, Hurley, Missouri was born January 13, 1931 in Elsey, Missouri to Everett and Altha Thatcher Clevenger and departed this life Wednesday April 24, 2013 in Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare Center Crane, Missouri.
Willard was a lifelong resident of the area and member of the Morning Star Baptist Church and was saved in the early 60's. On October 8, 1977 he married Blanche Gatton. He had worked for the Missouri Highway Department for over 26 years and on his own farm, where working was like a hobby for him. Willard was a big kidder always teasing someone. The big joy in his life was his family and especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Amanda Eaton; great granddaughter, Allye Smith and a step son Larry Joe Smith.
Willard is survived by his wife, Blanche of the home; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Fieker and husband Robert of Hurley and Mary Ellen Clevenger and husband Don Peterson of Warrensburg, Missouri; a step son Randy Smith and wife Lana of Vilonia, Arkansas; sister, Evelyne Cox of Springfield, Missouri; a niece, Vonna Crabb of Clever, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church Crane, Missouri. Burial will be in Crane Community Cemetery under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane.
Memorial contribution may be made to the Morning Start Baptist Church Building Fund.
