Barbara A. Calhoun Barbara A. Calhoun, 72 passed away June 30, 2015 in Springfield, MO. She was born October 12, 1942 in Sedalia, MO From 1960 - 1978, Barbara was employed in the banking business. She loved her family, neighbors and especially her beloved pets Ashley and Abby. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bill Calhoun; sisters, Sandy Thomas of Springfield, MO and Vicky Jo Sanders of Houston, TX and her beloved dogs Ashley and Abby. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 from 1-2 pm in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Graveside services are to follow at 3 PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. The family requests donations be sent to CARE Animal Rescue, 1328 A W. Calhoun, Bernice  
Bernice Calhoun Bernice Bertha Calhoun, 62, was born January 20, 1953 in Sedalia, Missouri and went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, June 29, 2015. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield. As a child, she attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church near Cole Camp, MO where she was baptized and confirmed. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Paula Meyer, of rural Cole Camp. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Calhoun of Springfield; stepson Andrew Calhoun and his fiancé Megan Blevins of Bartlesville, OK; brother Matt Meyer and his wife Tina and their children Paul and Kate of Tulsa, OK; and numerous friends and co-workers. During grade school she attended the Lutheran School in Cole Camp. She graduated from Benton County R-1 High School in 1971 and Central Missouri State University in 1975. Bernice spent most of her career life working as an accountant for the State of Missouri in the Department of Mental Health which she retired from in January of this year. Before reaching retirement she also took a few years to explore other endeavors. Bernice was caring, honest and faithful in both her personal and professional life. She often volunteered to help with events put on by the Springfield Host Lions Club and the Springfield Service Club of the Blind. Her hobbies included taking road trips with Virgil, and collecting items like salt & pepper shakers and magnetic tokens. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6th in the chapel of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 West Walnut Lawn in Springfield with the Pastor Jeffery Sippy officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 11:00 until service time at that location. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery, after services and burial there will be an open gathering of friends and family at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, the Missouri Council of the Blind, or the Lions Clubs International Foundation. .

Cameron, Thomas Evan "Tom"  
Thomas Evan "Tom" Cameron Thomas Evan "Tom" Cameron, age 71, of Seymour, MO, was born September 2, 1943, in Seymour to Jesse A. and Ada L. (Thomas) Cameron. Thomas Cameron died July 3, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, surrounded by family. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1961. On April 15, 1967, he wed Wanda Kay Johnson, of Seymour, who preceded him in death February 2001. Tom lived all his life in the Seymour area working full-time as a cattle farmer and outside the home for Massey Ferguson as a specialist and tractor equipment mechanic. He married Loretta Sue Fleetwood on July 27, 2007. Tom worked hard all his life and was a great provider, husband, father, grandfather and neighbor. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Luevinia Cameron. Tom is survived by his wife, Sue Cameron; daughters, Lisa Davis and husband, King, and Gayla Carnall and husband, John Mark, all of Mansfield; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a brother, John F. Cameron of the state of Idaho. The Cameron Family will receive guests Monday, July 6, 2015, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Seymour. Funeral services are Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 10:00am, also at Holman-Howe. Memorials may be made to the Seymour YMCA or a charity of one's choice and left at the funeral home.
