Charles "Albert" Saddler
Charles "Albert" Saddler, 87, a Northland resident in Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at his residence. He was born to Charles and Ella (Keene) Saddler on December 22, 1924 in Greene County, MO.
Albert served in the United States Army
, and was a World War II
Veteran. He worked at General Motors
for 30 years in department 17. Albert was a member of the United Auto Workers (UAW) 31. He really enjoyed raising cattle, and restoring tractors.
Albert is survived by his son Leslie K. Saddler of Kansas City, MO; brother Tom Saddler (Ermagene) of Rogersville, MO; sisters Josephine Perkins of Springfield, MO, Mary Murphy (Bill) of Crane, MO; grandchildren Tina Saddler of Holt, MO, Leslie Saddler Jr. (Kim) of Kearney, MO, Shelly Embley of Holt, MO, Michael Saddler of Blue Springs, MO, Randy Foster of Holt, MO, Stacey Foster of Independence, MO, Corey Foster (Chantel) of Independence, MO; great-grandchildren Dean Saddler (Jennifer), Jonathan Saddler, Anthony Roberds; and numerous nieces and nephews. Albert is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Bessie, Grace, Opal, Dorthy; brothers Pete, Gene.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Following the visitation, the body will be transported to the J.D. Lee & Sons Funeral Home in Rogersville, MO, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Graveside services and burial will be held at the Palmetto Cemetery in Rogersville following the service.
