Everett Charles Webb
EVERETT CHARLES WEBB, 87, of Park Hills, passed away Thursday Oct. 25, 2012 in Farmington, Mo. He was born May 20, 1925 in Iron Mountain, Mo and raised in Flat River, Mo and was a member of the Elvins Baptist Church. In 1945 He was drafted into the Marines. Charles was a Veteran
of World War II
, the Korean Conflict
and helped transport troops to and from Vietnam. He was a Merchant Marine and Graduated Able Bodied Seaman, any waters, unlimited Steward Dept (SH) Q. Med Electrician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Josephine East Webb; his sisters, Esther Yellowleigh, Grace Drain, Bertha Webb, and Zella Bell Hammer; brothers, Loyd Webb, Floyd Levi Webb, and Owen William Webb.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Webb, their children, Cynthia Gayle Swensson, Charlottsville, VA, Charles Dale Webb, Springfield, Mary Jo Bransford, Tulsa, OK and Kathleen Smith of Springfield, MO; 3 grandchildren Lauren Swensson, Kansas City, MO, Carl Swensson, Charlottsville, VA and Eli Jean Gresham, Springfield, MO; and great-granddaughter Layla Barker of Kansas City; his sisters Opal Webb Black, Park Hills, Mo and Irene Van Horn, Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Graveside service with Full Military Honors will be Sunday Oct. 28, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at the Oddfellow Cemetery in Bismarck, Mo. Minister: Rev. Doug Clinton. Services by Horton Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills, Mo.
