Garrett David Blotter

Garrett David Blotter, age 16, of Republic, Mo., passed away on Monday March 18, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Garrett was born on July 17, 1996, in Joplin, the son of Jeff Blotter and Rachelle (Doerge) Fletcher. He was a sophomore at Republic High School. He was a great athlete. Garrett played basketball and was a member of the varsity Republic Tiger Football and Track teams. He was a member of the FFA. Garrett loved the outdoors. He worked with his father as a farmer and a rancher. He was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church and also attended the Ridge Crest Baptist Church.

Garrett is survived by his mother and step-father, Rachelle and Joey Fletcher, Republic, Mo.; his father and step-mother, Jeff and Vanessa Blotter, Diamond, Mo.; three sisters, Paige Blotter, Springfield, Mo., Claire Fletcher, Republic, Mo., and Kiera Fletcher, Republic, Mo.; maternal grandparents, Ron and Linda Doerge, Racine, Mo., Jack and Donna Hardesty, Branson West, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Donna Blotter, Diamond, Mo.; step-grandparents, Janet Fletcher, Baxter, Tenn., and Melinda and David Sherman, Nashville, Mo.; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Diamond Cemetery in Diamond, Mo. Rev. Chris Hoyer and Coach Kurt Thompson will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday in the Calvary Baptist Church at 804 US 60, Republic, Mo.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Garrett Blotter Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
