Norman E. Cooper

Norman E. Cooper, 79, of Springfield, MO passed away on January 11, 2013.

Norman was a postal carrier of 30 years and stayed in touch with the "kids on his route". He was a veteran with the 505th Army battalion and was a Masonic Mason with many hobbies that included being an avid gardener and trying different foods. He also enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and obtained his pilot license and flew small aircraft. He had a love for his kitties.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clara M. and Rex L. Cooper and his brother Rex Jr.

Norman is survived by sons Donald (Debbie) Cooper, Trent (Sandy) Cooper; daughter Katherine Cooper; granddaughters Sara and Nicole Cooper; step-grandchildren Joe Thornton and Rachel (Dalton) Clayton; step-great grandchildren Jacob, Ralee and Dalen; brother Marion (Linda) Cooper and their children Kevin, LaDea and Ross and many great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
