Raymond H. Loven
Raymond H. Loven, 89, of Springfield, MO, died July 13, 2013. He was born to Alfred and Henny (Anderson) Loven on February 15, 1924 in Jud, ND.
Ray was raised on a farm in North Dakota. He served in the United States Army
in Europe during World War II
. In 1950 he graduated from North Central Bible College, Minneapolis, MN. He has been an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God since 1955 and served as pastor in Osnabrock, Rugby, Rolla, Mott, and Mandan, North Dakota. Ray served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the North Dakota District Council of the Assemblies of God. Williston, ND was their next home, where he was the Executive Director of the Eckert Youth Home. In 1977 Ray and Judith moved to Springfield, MO where Ray worked in the Stewardship Department at the General Council of the Assemblies of God. After retirement he worked at Central Assembly of God in the custodial department.
A man of prayer, Ray loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully. He was well known among family and friends for his compassion, hospitality, mentoring and quick wit.
Ray was joined in marriage to Judith Anderson in Kulm, ND on July 21, 1950. He is survived by his: wife Judith, of almost 63 years, and three children Roger (Bobbi) Loven of Bismarck, ND, Beverly Loven of Springfield, MO, and Jerry (Lisa) Loven of Bismarck, ND and five grandchildren: Travis Loven, Marcus Loven, Tyler Loven, Jasmyn Loven, and Lillia Loven. He is also survived by a brother Arne (Muriel) Loven and a sister Marjorie (Ray) Trask. He also leaves a large number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his: infant son Dennis Ray, parents, and siblings Ethel, Arnold, Harold, Marvin, Wesley, Bryan, Chester, Jean, Einar, and Clair.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, June 16, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Wednesday, July 17, in Central Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at 1 pm, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
