Thomas Sutton Obituary

Thomas L. Sutton, 84, Branson, Missouri, passed away at 11:12 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010 in St. John's Regional Healthcare Center, Springfield of a stroke.
He was born February 26, 1926 in San Francisco, California, the son of the late Thomas L. and Anne (Myer) Sutton, Sr. He was united in marriage on September 26, 1980 to Karen S. Hambleton.
Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Upon his discharge, he earned his Architectural Degree from the University of California - Berkley. He enjoyed watercolor painting, boating, was an avid reader and being with his family and many friends
He is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons, Ben Sutton, Valencia, CA; Rick Minnich, Berlin, Germany; two daughters, Gaye Sutton Blitz, Valencia, CA; Nitabelle Sutton, Springfield, MO; Anne Minnich-Grasso, Moorpark, CA; Jan Minnich-Emamian, Pasdena, CA; a brother, William L. Sutton, Naples, FL; two sisters, Sally Schulze, San Diego, CA; Barbara Sandman, Santa Cruz, CA; nineteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Tom's life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Victor Baptist Church, 1115 Victor Church Road, Branson.
The body has been cremated under direction of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville.
The family request memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 3322 S. Campbell, Suite P, Springfield, Missouri 65807.
