Hayden Graver Obituary

Hayden Scott Graver

Hayden Scott Graver, 17 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in Battlefield, MO. He was born on September 23, 1999, to Adam Scott Graver and Shannon Michelle (O'Toole) Graver, in Joplin, MO. Hayden was lovingly being raised by his grandparents, "Papa" Rod and "Meema" Lois Rahn.

Hayden Graver is loved by his family, friends, and his dog Champ. Hayden's free spirit lent way to many experiences such as zipping himself across the tree lines high up in the Rocky Mountains, whitewater rafting, swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, and challenging his cousins to the most extreme rides across Florida's theme parks, along with video games. Hayden just learned to wakeboard this summer on Tablerock Lake with his Grandpa and Grandma, "Pawpaw" Rick & "Kiki" Cindy, and was looking forward to future summers learning new extreme tricks. Over the years, Hayden and his Papa Rod developed a strong relationship. They challenged each other to be healthier, physically fit and to push themselves to be better. His short life here gave him challenges but, with Hayden's kind heart and perseverance he fought off his inner demons as long as he could until the morning of November 1, 2016, when Hayden experienced an accidental drug overdose. God must have a reason for calling his child to heaven early. His family and friends may never fully understand. However, one point is simple to understand and that is… family, friends, trust, and unconditional love make all the difference in life. Please help others with addiction challenges by joining Hayden's family in donating to The Kitchen - Rare Breed Program. Hayden always ended his calls to his family with, "I love you." Hayden, "We love you!"

Hayden is survived by his parents, Adam Graver and Shannon Graver; brother: Ryker; great-grandmother: Barbara Scott; grandparents: Rick and Cindy Graver, and Rod and Lois Rahn; his dog, Champ; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Hayden is preceded in death by his uncle, Kirk Bristol.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. Springfield, MO. A memorial celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 10:30 AM at the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Springfield, MO, with Phillip Wright officiating.

Hayden was a good friend of mine, he taught me to never fear what life is going to throw at you and to take it head on. Hayden will forever stay in my heart, and his smile will always be on my mind.

Hayden you always have been and always will be an amazing person. The two short years i knew you were an amazing time. We shared laughs and smiles and tears and sadness. I remember you coming over every single day with a new story or an idea for an adventure that day. Its been a little under a year since we last spoke but that does not mean that you were never on all of our minds. I love and miss you little brother. This is not a goodbye man its just a see ya till next time brother.

Hayden was an amazing person. Everyone he knew or ever talked to prays for his peace. He was so nice and happy all the time, never a dull moment around him. He had such a big heart, never wanted anyone to feel hurt or sad; not while he knew he could help them. Our loss, is heaven's gain. I pray that Hayden is with our lord and savior and is no longer in pain. Prayers to his family. You raised a truly wonderful person. I pray you find some comfort in knowing he was loved by so many.

Loved by many, missed by all, sad you had to leave this fall.

God looked around his garden,
And found an empty space.
Then he looked down upon this earth,
And seen your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
You left me beautiful memories,
Your love is still my guide.
Although we cannot see you,
You're always at my side.

I love you, and miss you so much ❤❤

Hayden was always more concerned about others well-being, than he was about his own. If you were in need of help, or anything he would always make a way to have things done for you. No matter what the circumstances. Hayden, we'll love & miss you.

Hayden, You will always have a special place in my heart. Words cannot justly express how much I thought of you. You were just another one of my kids that summer you and Faith were such good friends and I always will still think of you as my boy. You always listened to my long speeches on life lessons and quick to help out around the farm. I will never forget the day you helped unload that trailer full of square bales, you thought that was super hard work! Your Papa Rod came over to pick you up later and laughed about the story. He said that was good for you and it would help build you up for football. The kids always looked up to you like a big brother and they always had fun with you and all the nerf wars, the kiddie pool (lol) and trips to the playground across the street. You rode horses and picked mulberries off the trees by horseback. You and Faith were the best of friends and you helped each other through some trying times. So many memories. I can honestly say you have an amazing spirit and such empathy for others with life struggles, and always quick to their defense. You were so polite and had good manners, your Meema and Papa had taught you well. I sure wish you could have stayed longer with us. This old world can sure benefit from more great spirits such as yourself, but I am sure you will be watching over us all. I love you bunches and bunches. See you on the other side some day. Forever and always,
The Momster
