Dwight Russell Hart , age 69 of Harrison, AR, passed away in his home Friday November 9, 2012. He was born in Ava, Mo. to Raymond and Sybil Brown Hart February 27, 1943.

Dwight was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrison and was a hairdresser starting at age 19 until his retirement after 45 years. Dwight enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and hiking, and loved being around and sharing with his grandchildren. He had a passion for animals starting as a child growing up on the farm, but his real passion was Fox Trotter Horses. In 2006, he won the World Championship on his horse "Frankly My Dear." His affiliations included being a charter member of the Kansas City Fox Trotters Horse Breed Association, a Lifetime Member of Missouri Fox Trotters Breeding Association, member of Arkansas Fox Trotter Horse Association and Northwest Arkansas Fox Trotter Horse Association, and a Foxtrot-Walking Horse Judge all over the United States. In June of this year, he was inducted in the Missouri Fox Trotters Breeding Association's Hall of Fame.

He is survived by two sons: Robert (Teresa) Hart of Independence, Mo. and Michael (Kim) Hart of Spring Hill, Kan.; daughter. Candy (Toby) Schoenberger of Spring Hill, Kan.; sister, Alice (Ray) Brown of Ava, Mo.; six grandchildren: Jennifer Schoenberger, Austin Lucas, Spencer Hart, Brayden Hart, Jeffery Schoenberger, and Claire Cook; one great-grandson: Zachary Schoenberger; and special friends: Darrell and Sissy Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Rob Davis officiating. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in Denney Cemetery in Ava, Missouri with Oren Aloren Officiating. Pallbearers include: Darrell Brown, Gary Milam, Gene Snawder, Andrew Hendrix, Darrell Hickman and Toby Schoenberger. Honorary Pallbearers include: Spencer Hart, Brayden Hart, Austin Lucas, Jeffery Schoenberger, Ronnie Edwards and Scott Matlock.
