John H. Frederick

John Homer "Jack" Frederick entered Heaven's Gate, on May 7, 2012, at the age of 80. He was born in Roaring Springs, PA to John and Vera Frederick on January 8, 1932. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a First Class Sergeant. Jack was the accountant and owner/operator of Lad and Lass Land Preschool. He retired in 2003.

Jack was loved and known by many as Husband, Daddy, Poppy, Great-Grandpa, and Great-Great-Grandpa. He was also known to many foster children and preschool children as "Daddy Jack". He was involved with charities and organizations such as the Rebeccas and Oddfellows, was King of the Romeo's and Affiliation of Red Hatters, and the South Side Senior Center.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don; and step-daughters, Pam and Debra.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Billie; five children; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of other family and friends.

A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM also on Thursday in the funeral home.
