Larry Lee Duncan went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2013.
Larry was born to Carl and Opal Duncan of Greenfield, Oklahoma on January 29, 1943. He attended school in Greenfield, Oklahoma and after graduation moved to Hawthorne, California. While in California, Larry served as a policeman with the Hawthorne Police Department for a few years. After leaving the police department he owned and operated Larry's Towing. In 1977, Larry returned to the Watonga, Oklahoma area where he farmed, raised cattle, and owned and operated the Office Club, the Chevrolet dealership, and eventually the Ford Dealership.
Over the years Larry, a true entrepreneur, was always trying something new. Larry married Terri his true Valentine on February 14, 1989 and they moved to the Kansas City area where they owned and operated convenience stores for a couple years then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas to manage Quality Ford. Larry and Terri made their home in Branson, Missouri where he purchased Tri-Lakes Motors and continued to sell Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep. During retirement in 2001 he and Terri, with partners, Mark and Kathy Pearman, opened the Branson Craft Mall. He was a member of Victor Southern Baptist Church where he and his beloved Terri were baptized together on April 1, 2001.
Larry is survived by his wife Terri; a son, Eldon C Duncan; daughter, Charree Kashwer and her husband Jason, their mother Sandra Bafia; son Michael Duncan, his fiancé Chaylinn, son Todd Duncan, his wife Elaina; and their mother, Beverly McPherson; and Kristen Rakosky and husband David; grandchildren, Heather Duncan, Christopher Duncan, Mark Birch and wife Megan, Erik Birch, Michelle Fields and husband Jon, Jared Kashwer, Cole Kashwer, Ava Rakosky and Reagan Rakosky; great-grandchildren Madison, Emma, Isabella, Noah, and Izaiah; and grandchildren in heart, Stephanie and Ryan Pearman. Larry is also survived by his sisters, June Paulsen and husband Kenneth, Carol Sue Blevins and husband Jerry; and their families, including all those who called him "Uncle Larry". Larry had a heart bigger than his stature and was loved and respected by many lifelong and very dear friends.
Celebration of Larry's life will be at Victor Baptist Church Branson, Saturday November 30th, 2013 at 3:00 pm and a following service in Watonga, Oklahoma to be scheduled.
