Larry Jones
Larry D. Jones, 63, Springfield, MO passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
He was born Jan. 28, 1949 to Desmond and Margaret Jones of Wheaton, MO.
Larry was united in marriage to Brenda Arnold on Aug. 6, 1971.
He worked in the trucking industry for 30 years and was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Springfield North.
He loved Drury Basketball, Springfield Cardinals, golf, and his granddaughters.
Larry was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Jones, a daughter, Jenny Clemens and her husband Andy, two granddaughters, Emma and Maryn Clemens, all of Springfield, MO; his mother; two brothers, Wes Jones and his wife Janis and Tim Jones and his wife Bobbi; nieces, nephews, and other close family members.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Reverend Ryan Plamer officiating. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rotary International,1560 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL 60201 or Mercy Hospice, 1570 W. Battlefield, Rd. #110, Springfield, MO 65807.
