Paul Evan Childress
The Guest Book is expired.
Paul Evan Childress, 48, passed away suddenly March 1, 2013 in Tucson, AZ, where he had lived the past 10 years. He was born in 1964 in Springfield, MO, the son of Charles Evan Childress, Seymour, and Ruth Steele Childress, Fair Grove.
He was a 1983 graduate of Glendale High School. He attended Southwest Missouri State and several other colleges, and was a student at the time of his death. Paul was an assistant property manager and sold radio and print advertising. Paul was a descendant of Robert Lucas Childress, who helped form Webster County and served as a Missouri legislator. Sadly, Paul never knew most of his father's family because his dad developed early-onset Parkinson's disease when Paul was just a baby.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a sister, Brenda (Childress) Moore-Finch, Choctaw, OK; two nieces, Megan Childress Moore and Marjori Ruth Moore of Oklahoma City, OK; a maternal aunt, Doris Newman, Phoenix, AZ; a cousin, Charles Newman, Phoenix; and several other cousins in Arizona and California. In spite of the roadblocks in his life, Paul remained optimistic. He was a Christian with an online ministry and had many friends online.
Service information is pending. In lieu of flowers, Paul would be happy for donations to be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, due to the profound impact of the disease on his family.
