Terrence James Luxton

Terrence James Luxton, age 54, of Springfield, Mo., passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was born on July 24, 1959 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

He attended Pittsworth State High School, Pittsworth, QLD, Australia and Ozarks Technical College. He was currently enrolled in Tulsa Technical College in Aviation Maintenance School and employed with Flight Concepts in Tulsa, OK. Terrence attended South Haven Baptist Church and did volunteer work with The Springfield Little Theatre and Vandivort Center Theatre. His hobbies included NASCAR, playing guitar and classic cars. He was married on July 9, 2005 to Judy Marie (Starks) Luxton in the Landers Theatre, Springfield, Mo.

Terrence was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Winifred MacPherson Luxton and Ronald Bernard Luxton.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Marie (Starks) Luxton; his daughter, Christel Ryley and her husband Ewen Ryley; a grandson, Ethan Ryley; brothers: Ross Luxton and Rex Luxton and his wife Robyn; sisters and their spouses: Judy and Colin Hintz, Pamela and Lester Holmes, Maxine and Warren Turner; nieces and nephews: Ronald, Tiffany and Michael Luxton, Kathy, Peter, Sonia and Jenny Hintz, Rodney, Mandy and Marion Holmes and Ricky Turner.

A Memorial service will be on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in South Haven Baptist Church, under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools designated to Pipkin Middle School sound system/microphones, or to Lander Theatre designated for microphones.
