Josephine "Josie" Doria Hoeft

A vibrant, engaged-in-life, creative and spirited woman, Josephine (Josie) Frances Doria Hoeft, 89 full years of age, passed away during the early morning hours of February 23rd, 2014.

Josie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Ray Hoeft. Josie was a member of the Coast Guard, an eclectic, original thinker, a published writer, a business owner, and a trendsetter in life and in work.

Josie is survived by daughter Linda (Jeanne) Doria and husband Drew Ford. Son, Steve and wife Jeannine Hoeft and their children Jason and his wife Norea, (and their children Mila and Emi); Jena Hoeft and Aaron Sanders, (and their children Sadie and Marcel); Jori and her husband Aaron Rose, (and their children Cece and Walker); and Nellie Hoeft. Daughter Debi and husband Bruce Altheimer (children Scott and son Daelen); son Sean and Amy, (and their son Soren); daugther Amber and husband Scott Campos, (and their daughter Zoe). Daughter Kelli and her husband Mark McDowell, and their children Josh and Ashley and her husband Shane. Also, Josie's honorary grandson, Ashton, and her brother Nat Doria and his wife Ruby.

A memorial life celebration will be held on Sunday, March 2, at 2:00 at 3032 East Impala Court in Springfield.
