Larry Dane Crowe, 69, of Fordland passed away at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 2014 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born April 25, 1944 in Fordland to Leaford and Alberta Crowe. Larry served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. After the Army he married Linda Cavener of Crane July 18, 1969. He was a drywaller by trade in Fordland and the surrounding area. Larry retired in 2010 with over 40 years in the drywall business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leaford Crowe and Alberta Stinnett; a brother, Leon (Shorty) Crowe, and a sister, Anita Estes.

Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda; his three boys: Stuart and wife Christy of Fordland, Jason and wife Jennifer of Springfield and Jody of St. Louis; three granddaughters: Makenzie, Hanna and Jadyn; and a grandson, Cameron; his brother, Wayne and wife Lavern; and a step-brother, Chris Stinnett of Fordland.

Larry enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt and find mushrooms. He loved spending time in his garden and with his grandchildren. He was a faith-filled man who loved church and deeply cared for others and loved to be with his family and friends. He will be forever missed.

Services for Larry will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the Freewill Baptist Church in Fordland with burial following in the Fordland Cemetery under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
