Sherman F. Palmer
Sherman F. Palmer, 88 of Springfield was born on December 3, 1925 to Martha Avaline Powell and Jesse Palmer. He passed away on March 9, 2014 surrounded by his family at home.
He spent 20 years in the Navy in WWII as a baker and a cook and enjoyed cooking even after the military and he loved to repair lawnmowers.
Sherman is survived by his wife Mary; sons, Floyd Jr, Dennis, Larry, Mike, Terry and Charlie; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Tate and Veda May Casselman; brother, Jesse Elmer Palmer and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Doug; sisters, Frances Plaster and Alice Mitchell; brother, James Wesley.

A service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. A visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
