Linda Linegar, 65 of Kimberling City, was born on August 7, 1948 in Springfield, MO to Willard and Geneva Metzelthin. She passed away on April 15, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She spent the past 11 years married and enjoying life living at the lake with her husband Huey "Bill" Linegar. Linda worked as a paraprofessional in the Springfield Public School system where she took great pride in helping students. Bill and Linda enjoyed traveling and adding memories to their lives. Some of her favorite hobbies were reading, playing games, and watching beautiful sunsets gliding across Table Rock Lake. Her most favorite way to spend her time was watching her grandchildren in their many interests and swimming with them at the lake all summer.
She is fondly remembered as having a welcoming heart and warm smile. Many people had the opportunity to call her a friend. Her students considered her a trusting sole to confide in.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Bill Linegar; mother Geneva Metzelthin; brothers Carl (Marianne) Metzelthin and JC (Krystal) Metzelthin; sons Paul (Julie) Freeman and Brandon (Cortney) Freeman; step-daughter Carrie (Travis) Campbell; 6 grandchildren; and many extended relatives. She will be reunited with her late father Willard Metzelthin and granddaughter Nyla Freeman.
We will celebrate her life at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2014 between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Miracle Network.
