Nellie Anderson

Nellie Ray Anderson, 81, was born on March 16, 1933 in Newport, AR to Fred and Nellie (Phillips) Sweatt. She passed away on July 25, 2014 surrounded by her family.

She married Bobby E. Anderson on May 30, 1950 and to this union three sons were born. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church where she served in the past as church treasurer and president of UMW. She was also a member of Little Theater Guild, Friends of Library and Executive Woman's Club where she received women of the year award. Nellie was with Mary Kay Cosmetics for 43 years, she held one of the highest positions as an Independent Executive Sr. Sales Director. She was known throughout the company for her leadership skills and her go give attitude.

Nellie is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Stan and Cindy, Brad and Kelly and Danny Bob and Mary, all of Springfield; 5 grandchildren, Ryan and Kylee Anderson, Nick Anderson, Chad Gibson and Brittany Forrest; 4 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kambrye Gibson, Peyton Anderson and Kaylee Forrest; sister Evelyn Campbell of Arlington, TX; nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby, her parents and granddaughter, Bobbie Rae.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 922 W Republic Rd, Springfield, MO with services to follow at 11 a.m. at the church under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte. Officiating the service is Reverend Jim Massey. Entombment will be a private ceremony at the Rivermonte Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family has requested donations be made to a in lieu of flowers.
