Mrs. Darleen Jackson Nave

Mrs. Darleen (Hardin) Jackson Nave, age 80, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in her home. She was born on October 21, 1933, the daughter of Leo and Eva (Endicott) Hardin, and grew up in Willow Springs, Missouri.

Darleen acknowledged her faith at an early age and currently attended Battlefield Baptist Church. She was retired from GMAC and was always busy with interests that included genealogy, antiques, birds and flowers. Darleen continued a close connection with her GM retirees group and friends she had made through the years through mutual interests.

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Bradley Aaron Davis; her parents; and brother, Charles Dempsey Hardin.

Darleen leaves behind her husband of 21 years, Jacob "JD" Nave; two daughters, Karen and husband Craig Meads, and Deborah Jackson; a grandson, Jeremy Blades and wife, Heather; two great grandchildren, Zoe and Calvin Blades; step children, James and Karen Nave; Ada Breithaupt, Carol Ann Girth, Dianna Lewis, Becky Nave, Tom Nave, Sharon Duncan, and John David Nave; step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a multitude of family and friends. Darleen will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2014, also in the funeral home.
