William Tinker Woolsey
William Tinker Woolsey, first child of Clarence Olin "Tink" Woolsey and Mary Jane Smedley, of Springfield, passed away on August 21, 2014, at the age of 71 due to complications related to pulmonary fibrosis. Graduate of Parkview High School and Drury College, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, he started his career as a broker with Goodbody & Co., in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He then returned to Springfield as a broker and branch manager for Newhard, Cook & Co., Inc., and Stifel, Nicolaus & Co.
He is survived by his sister Nancy Woolsey Almirall, her spouse Paul Harper, and her children Jane, Anne, and John; his brother Chris Woolsey, his wife Jackie and daughter Tiffani; his son Mark and daughter Elizabeth, her husband Travis Doster and their sons Samuel and Nicholas. Also, his wife Janet and her three children Danny Kinney, Darran Kinney, and Kara Gunnels and three granddaughters, Kelsi, Courtney, and Avery Kinney.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Hazelwood Cemetery with a celebration of Tink's life and friends at Argentina Steakhouse 1410 E. Republic Road on Monday, August 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home-East Springfield, MO.
