Bryan Leslie Lakin

Bryan Lakin passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 after a long illness.

A lifetime aviation enthusiast and car restoration extraordinaire, Bryan was born November 5, 1931 in Neosho, Mo., the second child of Archie and Ruby Lakin who, along with grandson, Micah Lakin, preceded him in death. Bryan was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed a very successful career in engineering, principally with Fasco Motors in Ozark.

He is survived by Willadean (Poe) Lakin, the love of his life who he wed in 1951. Also surviving are daughter, Debbie Schwer and husband Bill; son, Chris Lakin and wife Diana; grandchildren: Marc Fuller and Andrew Lakin; brother, Harvey Lakin and wife Norma.

A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1946 E. Seminole. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28 in Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery in Neosho, Mo.
