Miranda Jintara Craig, 18, peacefully passed from this world to the next on Dec 3rd, 2010. Miranda was born on March 3, 1992, in Monett, Mo. At 4 months of age, she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, leaving her with several developmental delays. She attended the DCO in Springfield, and Reeds Spring Elementary, where, with the help of her classmates and the teaching staff, she flourished. Miranda loved School and the many students, therapists and teachers who befriended, and helped her. Miranda was a joyful and loving person. The passion of her life was music. She knew hundreds of songs, and continually learned new tunes and would play them on the piano.
The Guest Book is expired.
At the age of 11, after a medical mishap in the hospital, Miranda was left in a persistent vegetative state. She lay for seven years in a bed in the Ozark Mountain Regional Medical Center, and then slipped gently into the open arms of God.
The family wishes to thank the teachers, students and staff of The DCO, Reeds Spring Elementary School, and The Ozark Mountain Regional Center for the loving kindness and care so freely offered to her. If your life was touched by Miranda or hers by you, the family invites you to drop by The Rock House on the corner of Main and High St. in Reeds Spring on Sat., Dec 18th, between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m. for a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Developmental Center of the Ozarks or the Ronald McDonald House.
