Norma Jean White

Norma Jean Burgess White, of Marionville, was born September 28, 1935 in Marionville, Missouri to Henry and Iva Payne Burgess and she departed this life at 10:03 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in Cox Medical Center in Springfield following a short battle with cancer.

Norma was united in marriage to Willis Ray White on October 4, 1952. He preceded her in death, but not before they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2002. She was a homemaker and seamstress. She attended Valley View Baptist Church. She also was proceeded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Burgess of Marionville; and two brothers-in-law, J.C. (Sandy) White of Marionville and Eldon Combs, Sr. of Springfield, Mo.

Her survivors include her three children, Judy Wright and husband Lloyd of Marionville, Donnie White and wife Melissa of Crane, Jimmy White and wife Tonia of Marionville; nine grandchildren, Gretchen Glossip, Amy Fletcher, Johnna Jennings, Gary Wright, Dustin White, Charity Parks, Jordan White, Stephanie Chapman, Heston White; and 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Burgess and wife Faye of Marionville; three sisters Peggy Henry of Marionville, Shirley Combs of Springfield and Patricia Csupak of Marionville; brother-in-law, Butch and Donna White of Marionville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30 , 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Williams Funeral Home in Marionville with burial to follow in Marionville I.O.O.F Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the building fund at Valley View Baptist Church or the Athletic Dept. of Marionville School.
