Betty L. Martin, 75, Bolivar, Missouri, died February 24 in the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Kansas City, Kansas. She fought a courageous battle with lung cancer that lasted for more than two years. Betty was born in Cole Camp, Missouri and was a lifelong Missouri resident. She spent most of her career in the promotion business working for various companies throughout the Missouri area. Another of Betty's passions was painting. She took art classes during her life and loved to dabble in landscape and nature painting. Betty enjoyed nature and spent a great deal of time outdoors fishing, mushroom hunting and taking nature walks. She showed her support for breast cancer research by participating in a number of fund raising walks. She also loved spending time with her cats.
