Frank Pedro Duran was born January 22, 1921. After a 91 year long interview, he accepted a position in Heaven May 10, 2012. He will be missed by his wife, Nola Duran; brothers, Julian Duran, Arthur Byers, and eleven surviving children, Frank Duran Jr., Barbara Rael, Paul Duran, Rene Azinger, Debbie Whitbread, Rebecca Prosch, Barbara Schrader, Roy Prosch, Delaine Prosch, Tod Duran, and Pat Duran.
Waiting for him on his first day in Heaven will be his son, David Duran; grandson, Joseph Roybal; parents, Marquita and Pablo Duran; and siblings, Tita Bustos, Clara Gonzales, Mary Padilla, and Faustino Duran. He will remain as Guardian Angel over his many grandchildren, family, and friends.
His legacy includes service in the U.S. Army during World War ll, a distinguished career at Los Alamos National Laboratories, and his service to God as an active member of his local churches in both New Mexico and Missouri. Heaven is in store for a major remodel because Frank Duran will be showing up with a drop cloth, a roller, a couple of paint brushes and five gallons of white enamel.
Funeral services were held in Graceway Baptist Church under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
