Donna June Plaster

Donna June Plaster, 71, of Springfield, Mo. passed away in her home Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 5:34 p.m., following an extended illness.

Donna was born in Marshfield, Mo. and was a lifelong Springfield area resident. She graduated from Springfield Central High School in 1960. She was employed with Dayco and Company for 20 years. She was saved at an early age, baptized and joined the East Avenue Baptist Church. She loved helping others and showing them love and kindness. She was an over-comer and worked in the prison ministry. She so loved and enjoyed being a "Grammy." She loved making baby clothes and caring for her grandchildren.

Donna Coursey and Gary Plaster, Sr. were united in marriage on June 1971. Together they were privileged to share 42 years. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Fannie Hubble Coursey; and brother Gary Coursey.

She is survived by her family: husband Gary; 2 daughters, Ralinda and husband Pat Yocom of Walnut Grove, Mo. and Angel Tanksley of Nixa; son Gary Owen Plaster, Jr. of Springfield; brother James Coursey; 2 sisters: Caroline Kensinger and Sheila Holle.

Celebration of Life services will be private for family and immediate friends. Cremation arrangements were under the care and direction of Wilson Brim-Daniel Funeral Home.
