Bernadine Reid Obituary
Bernadine Reid, longtime Willard resident, passed away Friday evening, April 24, 2015 in Georgetown Texas Assisted Living following an extended illness.
Bernadine, the daughter of Bernard Roman and Mary Alice (Fisher) Demick, was born in Anna, Ill., January 3, 1938. Bernadine was a flight attendant and instructor for TWA for many years. She was a faithful and active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Springfield, Mo. She was a former resident of the Kansas City area, moving to the Willard/Walnut Grove areas in 1977. She moved to Texas in 2008 to be near her family.
Bernadine Demick and James Reid (TWA Pilot) were united in marriage January 20, 1974. Together they were privileged to share over twenty seven years. Jim preceded her in death November 12, 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Mary Alice Demick.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jim Teegarden of Georgetown, Texas; two nieces; a grandnephew; two grandnieces and two great grandnieces.
Funeral Mass will be Celebrated, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Springfield, with Father Dennis Dougherty celebrant. Interment will be in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove under the care and direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, Mo.
Rosary with visitation to follow will be Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m., April 29, 2015, in the Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Walnut Grove.
The family wishes to thank all of Bernadine's friends and neighbors in the Willard/Springfield areas for the support they provided to Bernie during her last years in Willard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bernadine's name to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Bernie was a classy woman, a humble servant of the Lord and a good neighbor. I rejoice that she has reunited with Jim and has a new life. We all lost Bernie awhile back, so this passing is a blessing even though it still hurts. I wish peace and healing to her family.

Bernie was one of the sweetest ladies I've known. Some people add to your life and some take away. She and Jim were always a blessing at TWA.

I worked with Bernie in the TWA InFlight office many years ago. She was a pleasure to be around and had a great sense of humor.
